Even though many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home, sometimes the physical, emotional and financial consequences for providing family care can be overwhelming, without some support. This is where Respite Care at Anthem can help.Respite Care at Anthem is designed to provide temporary care relief for those in a number of situations. They may be being cared for by a family member full-time or convalescing after a hospital stay and not ready to go home. In the case of couples, with one being the carer, respite care can provide that person with a much-needed break. Anthem provides a minimum of 2 weeks for respite.
Government-subsidized RespiteAnthem provides respite for Low (Hostel) and High (Nursing Home) care. The person requiring respite must be assessed by the ACAT Nurses for Low or High care. Each person is entitled to 63 days each financial year for respite care. This doesn't have to be taken all at once, and can be extended based upon the resident’s circumstances. Private Respite If no ACAT can be done in time, or if the person is ineligible for an assessment, At Anthem you can have private respite, Low (Hostel) and High (Nursing Home). Private respite can be provided for the time it takes to recuperate.
