Lounge, Dining, Activities Rooms
Anthem is a non-smoking facility, and there are various common areas for the use of residents, family and friends. All of our buildings have centrally controlled heating/cooling in the dining and lounge rooms for your comfort.
Our dining and lounge rooms can be used by residents and families to celebrate birthdays or simply for family get-togethers. Meals for these occasions can be ordered through our kitchen, and we also have a Private Dining Room which seats eight people. This room can be booked at any time for a meal with the family.
Each building and floor has their own dining room. We have four dining rooms at present, and there will be more when our new building is completed in 2017.
In the Hordern building, there is a lounge room/dining room on the ground floor. There is a double-sided gas log fire, (double sided), separating the two rooms, giving them a cosy feel in winter. There is a second lounge/dining room upstairs, and movies are shown a few times each week in the upstairs lounge. There is another gas log fire, (one sided), in the ground floor lounge room of Throsby building.
Our Chef, Leanne and her team pride themselves on producing fresh homemade meals on a daily basis prepared with thought and love. The kitchen door is always open to the residents and they strive to serve to individual choices. Leanne loves to get to menu suggestions as she talks with residents and loves to add new ideas to the weekly menus.
The residents are given a weekly menu with two choices for main and desert at each meal. Our main meal of the day is at lunch time.
