There are so many questions when you or a loved one is moving into aged care...

We have put together some of the most commonly asked questions about aged care, including eligibility, things to consider, and how to prepare to move but if we have missed anything just give us a call.

What do I need to enter aged care?

Before entering aged care, you must complete an ACAT assessment.  Aged care assessments are conducted by a local Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).  You can apply for an ACAT online HERE or your GP may assist.

How much does it cost?

The cost of aged care depends on income and assets as well as care needs and room availability.  The Australian Government subsidises a range of aged care services and expects residents to contribute to the cost of care if they can afford to do so.

We recommend you seek independent financial advice to ensure that the resident is making the best financial decision for their circumstance.  We also recommend completing an income/asset test which can be accessed online HERE.

For further information, please contact our Admissions Coordinator.

Can I pop in for a site tour?

Site tours are available via appointment only.  It's important to have the necessary information about your loved one before scheduling a tour.  To make an appointment or for further information, please contact our Admissions Coordinator.

"My friend has been a resident of Anthem for almost 19 months. During this time, all nursing and care staff have provided him with the very best clinical care and personal care. They have at all times been respectful, helpful, kind and considerate, not only to him, but to all who visit.  I have noticed that they treat all other residents and visitors with the same respectful kindness.  Thank you." -  Friend of a Resident

"It was wonderfully comforting to see the care Dad received and the kindness with which it was given on his return to Anthem following his hospital stay. It is also a huge comfort to know that Mum is being so well cared for. Our family would like to thank the entire team at Anthem for the amazing job they do every day." - Family Member

"I would like to express our deep gratitude to Anthem and its staff for the excellent care provided to our Mother. She was in Anthem's care for the last five years, and throughout that time we were grateful for the kindness, compassion and support shown to her.  Please keep spreading your magic – your kindness plays a critical role in the lives of the dear ones in your care.  Bless you all."  - Family Member

"We wanted to thank all of you for the wonderful love and care you showed our Mum. You were always so warm, kind and generous, and your compassion meant so much to our family. Mum had a very dignified passing, and we could not have hoped for anything better for her. She often spoke about how lovely you all were, and as usual, she was absolutely right."  - Family Member
