Anthem offers that no one else does
choices
Respite Care at Anthem is designed to provide temporary care relief for those in a number of situations.
When your carer needs a break or you require care while in recovery from hospital before heading home, you may need to have a short stay in residential care. This is called ‘residential respite care’ and can be on a planned or emergency basis. Even though many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home, sometimes the physical, emotional, and financial consequences for providing family care can be overwhelming, without some support. This is where respite at Anthem can help. Respite is designed to provide temporary care. Anthem offers a minimum 2-week respite period. Each resident is entitled to 63 days each financial year for respite. These respite days are not to be used while you sell a house or organise finances for permanent accommodation. Respite is only for a break if the resident is returning home. An Aged Care Assessm ent (ACAT) n eeds to be completed before you can enter an Aged Care Facility If you are assessed as eligible for entry into an aged care home, you will receive an approval letter and support plan from your ACAT that sets out the care you are approved to receive. The support plan will include a unique referral code which you will need to provide to us. This assists us in determining the best location within the facility and level of care needed. Click HERE for details on how to apply for an ACAT.
From 20 September 2024: Daily Care Fee is: $63.57 per day + $11 - $13.00 per day (Additional Service). The additional service fee includes meals, care, activities and much more per day. Daily Care Fee charges increase on the 20 March & 20 September each year. Private Respite is available (without an ACAT) at a cost of $320.00 per day. If no ACAT can be completed in time, or if the person is ineligible for an assessment, we can offer private respite.
Please contact the Admissions Coordinator for current availability.
All perspective residents need to have had an ACAT Assessment done prior to a site tour.
